This is quite possibly one of the best… no it IS the best movie I’ve seen in YEARS. And it’s the first “Best Picture” winner at the Oscars that actually deserved it in ages and ages…
This movie is fantastic on so many levels… The cinematography, the music, the story, the location. It was sooo good. I’ve seen it twice and I’d pay to see it again before it hits DVD (supposed to be end of this month). There are some scenes of child abuse that are difficult for some to take, but it truly is necessary for the whole storyline. I did not think the scenes were so bad. I’ve seen movies where the violence is worse but for some this was enough.
Slumdog would be better on the big screen, but I think it will be gone soon… but you’ve got to see this be it on the big screen or on DVD, be sure to get this film… It’s incredible!
This was good… a little slow to start but once it got going it ran and didn’t stop. It’s a new character type for Liam Neeson… I like it, he should do more like this.
Overall, a lot of action with enough story to keep the flow (usual Liam movies have a lot more story). Good movie – there’s no spectacular scenes that make this so you HAVE to see it on the big screen… it wont loose much if you wait for rental.
This was so funny! Referred by a friend, this was worth the rent. This is a British import… black comedy… if you like British films and comedy – let alone black comedy – you’ve GOT to rent this. The first 5 minutes will rope you in and keep you attached and laughing the rest of the time. I’ve gotta see it again to see the opening alone – there was something I apparently missed.
Anyhoo – it’s hilarious and will make you think twice or if your me trice before taking a Valium… (see it and this will make COMPLETE sense!) I’m not a pill person and this has added to my phobia! But it’s funny as hell… Ok ok ok you get the picture… now go get the picture!
